Our love story

Two hearts, one beautiful journey

It began with a borrowed umbrella outside a little bookshop in North Beach. James had the umbrella; Sarah had the last copy of the novel he’d come in for. They agreed to share both — and somehow never stopped sharing everything else.

Eight years, two cities and one very patient golden retriever later, we can’t imagine starting this next chapter without the people who shaped us. You are part of our story, and we would love you to be there when we write its happiest page.

— Sarah & James

How we got here

Moments that mattered

  1. Autumn 2019

    A rainy afternoon

One umbrella, one novel, two strangers who talked until the bookshop closed.

Close-up of a couple holding hands, their shadows cast on the grass
  2. Summer 2021

    The first adventure

A week-long road trip down Highway 1 with a map, a playlist and zero plans.

“Somewhere past Big Sur, we stopped counting the miles.”

  3. December 2024

    The question

At sunset on the Lands End trail, James got down on one knee. Sarah said yes before he finished.

  4. 19 June 2027

    Forever begins

Surrounded by roses, family and friends — the day we become a family of our own.

“And now, the best part: celebrating with you.”
